
We
have a monthly meeting on the second Sunday(April and May, 2009,
meetings will be on the third Sunday) of each month at 2.00 p.m.
in a meeting room at the West End Community Centre, 870 Denman
Street, Vancouver. We start with a short coffee and cookies
session then move on to the main event which usually includes
information on upcoming events, a guest speaker or an interesting
panel discussion, followed by another coffee period and some time
to chat with fellow Prime Timers. It usually runs for about two
hours. Each member may choose to receive, in person at the
meetings, by e-mail or by snail mail, a monthly newsletter with a
calendar of events for the month ahead and other items of
interest.
Annual
memberships dues are currently only $25 for a single person and
$35.00 for a couple. The annual date for membership renewal
is May 1st. However, new members joining after October 31st
pay only $15.00. In addition, members attending the monthly
meeting are asked to contribute a $2.00 donation to cover the
costs of the meeting. Special activities,
such as Dining-Out as a group at a local eatery, are required to
be paid in advance and generally range from $18 - $30 per event.
